Nicholas News by Smokey & Tigger, Sept 21/25

As the weather cools down we’re happy to turn up the heat & get the fireplace sizzling!  This is the time of year that we’re reminded how important our home heat source is for efficiency and affordability.  There are so many to choose from and each have their pros and cons.  Mama is somewhat of an expert on this, as we think after 21 years in the business, she has seen them all!  Got questions, call for advise.  We’re happy to hear from you.

It’s also a time when we crank up our propane fireplaces or lay the logs on the romantic  woodburning fireplace, listening to the crackle, for the first time this season.  Maybe you have a pellet or woodstove but whatever your home is sporting, it’s so cozy to sit around a fire in the evenings, telling tales, sharing a good laugh or watching a favourite movie.  We love it!

At 7 1/2 months we’re growing quickly and this is our first autumn.  Who knew it would get this cold so quickly and Mama says “You ain’t seen nothing yet!”  She talks about something called snow, says it’s wet, cold and white.  We can’t even imagine what that is!

We’re excited to announce that our magnificent log home at 44 Taylor Lake Road is now under contract and proceeding through conditions.  MLS#NB119758. If you’re into log homes this size and quality was a rare find in our area.  We think it looks like something right out of ‘Log Homes Magazine’!

We’ve been getting our vaccines and boosters on the last four Saturdays, dividing them up as our vet says it can be a lot for young kitties to get them all at once.  We don’t like it much but we do love our vet.  He is not only knowledgeable but gentle and genuinely loves animals! This was our last one, hooray!!!

We’ve been out for a few short drives in the SUV, adapting to the moving vehicle so that when we need to go to the vet, we won’t be scared!  So far we’ve just gone around our block but the drives are slowly expanding.  Smokey loves it and is as cool as a cucumber, sitting up, looking out the window.  Tigger, not so much, crying a wee bit, but happy that Mama is talking him through it and slowly getting more secure.

Paws crossed & purring,

Smokey & Tigger
